Great E-Mail from Birmingham

We love Elder Oppenlander, he is a wonderful missionary and was a joy to have serving in our area. We loved his spirit and his easy smile whenever we ran into him. He has such a love for both the people of Alabama and teaching the Gospel. I also had the privilege of providing food and treats for him and his (then) companion Elder Ojelade--easy to do since they lived in the same apartment building as our family during much of that time. My daughter Lauren always just called him "Elder O." You should be proud of the missionary that you sent out, he is a fine young man with spiritual depths and compassion.

We love the missionaries that you have sent out and entrusted to our areas, they remind us of our own children--it is as close as we can come to vicariously loving and supporting our own sons and daughters serving in other mission fields.
